Factors to Consider Before Buying the Best Work Shoes for Women
Comfort
Ladies- let's be since- we spend a lot of our walking hours at work, so why choose uncomfortable shoes?
Don't allow the killer heels to rip you off your comfort. Instead, choose cushioning, arch support, and breathable materials that'll make your feet happy.
Style
I understand that you want to look like a fashion goddess, but remember, you're also a professional kicking butts at the office.
Go for a shoe that strikes the balance between style and professionalism. Consider a classic design that enhances your outfit without disrupting your professionalism.
Durability
A work shoe should be able to withstand the test of time. The fact is - shoes that fall off after a few weeks of use are like a flaky coworker.
So go for shoes made of high quality materials that can withstand the daily grind. Choose sturdy soles and well-constructed upper that won't give up when it gets tough.
Safety
I understand that safety isn't a sexy topic , but they're pretty important. If your workplace requires safety features like steel toes and slip resistant, don't compromise on safety.
Look for shoes that are safe while still looking Fabulous.
Wiggle those Toes
Let's not forget the importance of toe wiggle room! Your feet need space to breathe and move freely.
So, choose shoes that give your toes a vacation, not a cramped cubicle - Because, happy toes make for a happy workday.
Shoes to Avoid
Choosing the wrong shoe can wreck an havoc on your feet. So save your precious feet from unnecessary stress by avoiding these kind of shoes:
The Torturous Toe Squeeze
These shoes can make your feet look like they're trapped in a medieval torture device. Avoid narrow toe shoes that squeeze your feet together.
They can cause painful conditions like hammertoes, bunions, and even ingrown toenails.
Flat Soles
Shoes with flat soles can cause foot pain. And that's because they lack adequate cushioning and no arch support.
Without proper support, you could end up with plantar fasciitis or achy arches that cause pain with every step.
High Heel
Hugh heel are an epitome of elegance and potential disaster. Although they look stunning, prolonged wear can lead to heel pain, ankle sprains, and even posture change. Reserve these stilettos for special events only!
Slippery Slope
No one wants to slip and slide at work. Avoid shoes with slippery soles. Apart from ending up with embarrassing falls, it can also cause serious injuries.
Find shoes with slip resistant soles, especially if you work in a place with wet or smooth surfaces.
Cheap and Flimsy
In the shoe world, cheap doesn't always mean cheerful. Avoid shoes made with low quality materials. While they seem like a bargain, they'll leave you feeling disappointed.
I need comfortable shoes that fit around my toes. I
Jan, what about the paw shoes that fit like a glove? But for your feet?
You need PERFECT feet to wear those all day. They do not conform to your feet, they make your feet conform to them. Not something you want for all-day work wear. I used to wear those during workouts.
Did you find one? That is my problem right now, by the time I get off work my toes are sore. I’ve been trying all kind of shoes and I wore about four of it for at least four hours then I have to take it off because it is hurting my toes.
Thanks
Eva
My feet get splashed with water a lot during a shift, are the Sketchers/Nurse Mate clogs water resistant?
Need a comfortable shoe to help my back and leg pain on my feet all day.
I have heel pain so badly somedays it kills me but I’m on my feet 14 hours a day in the hospital. I need a good shoe. Please help.
I always struggle to find my best pair of work shoes. But I guess when you stand in your feet for 12 hours a day, 5 days a week they all become uncomfortable after a while. The Skechers did a good job for me, I am surprised by their waterproof nature considering the material they’re made of.
I work in shoes. Try Brooks/Asics/Hokas when standing for long periods of time. They are more expensive but worth the price! Skechers are comfortable for short periods but not long term. When standing 12 hrs, you probably need to change shoes around hr 6. Do not wear the same shoes all day everyday and replace them when the shoe begins to wear on the bottom. Just as you replace tires on a car! Go to a shoe store where they can watch you walk and are actually trained to help you!
Any idea which shoe stores those are?
